12:25 pm - *kills things in a painful manner* I know my parents are probably really worried about me--I'm finally away at college, NOT in a dorm room, going where I want when I want and they don't know...
But FUCK they're being IRRITATING.
This week I tried to call once every two or three days or so--ease them into this, keep them updated, etc. And yet every time they act as if I haven't called them at all, and the one or two times I've missed them calling me? Usually because I'm in another room, cooking or showering, I get irritating messages about how "the phone is there to be ANSWERED" and aarrrrggggg.
Roommates: One is very nice, the other is... nice, but... antisocial? D: She's like... ALWAYS in her room and not very talkative. And I thought *I* was a little reclusive...
Weather: 8|;; goddamnit it's hot. It was cold this week and I actually liked that more. BRING BACK THE AUTUM WEATHER PLZ.
Food: There is a farmer's market every weekend here where zuccini as big as a football can be purchased for a dollar. <3

SO.
We are at the house. It is FREAKING HUGE, and we have like... fifteen people here, but it's STILL huge. 83 I have tested the pool, which overlooks the canal, since the weather is sunnier, and it is lovely. <3 We are venturing a couple blocks tomorrow to get to the beach~~
Mother offered me a wine cooler, so I accepted. D: Wild Berry wine coolers are... not bad. Completely girly, but pretty tasty.

12:14 pm - DAY ONE (sorta...) DAY ONE Location: Grandparents' house, Sun City Center, THE SUNSHINE STATE Time: 12:17 PM Moral: Decent
SO.
I'm here.
Things are... stressful, because cars have needed to be packed and maps must be printed and sudoku puzzles(which my cousin FAILS at printing) must be formatted. I think once we get to the location and unpack everything things may mellow out a LITTLE BIT because we're THERE.
The weather here? It sucks. SUCKS. It's more humid than Minnesota, and while I don't -MIND- rain (and in fact I rather like it...), I am going to a beach. I wants mah freakin' SUN KTHNX. >:[ Let down Katt is let down.
My cousins are cool. Hopefully they will add to the de-stressing factors. We shall see~ Now awaiting the hour where we may LEAVE the house and be on our way to Fort Meyers beach~~~ <_<; Current Location: Desk, Grandparent's patio, Florida Current Mood: good Current Music: The sound of my cousin's NOT FAILING sudoku printing

11:34 pm - Tonight shall go down in history as an EPIC NIGHT So today Sakki, Maria, Ozzie, Josh and myself went to The Melting Pot, a somewhat pricey food restaurant, with our friend and my 'daughter' Christina to celebrate her graduation from high school and her acceptance into the U.
Now, I have been to the Melting Pot twice before and they were both excellent times, but this time was SO MUCH BETTER YOU CANNOT BELIEVE IT.
First off, big, friendly groups are fun when you are at shmancy eating places--makes it easier to be silly. :3 Two, our waiter. Oh god, our waiter. Kevin (as he came to be called, since we couldn't recall if that was the name he said or not) was a very good sport about dealing with six people during a busy time, taking very large orders, constantly bringing us jugs of water since Josh and I are constantly downing glasses, all the while keeping very friendly and a good sport along with our antics.
The food? Oh god, the food. For those who don't know, The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant where you order in courses--appetizers (cheese fondue), salad, main course (broth fondue) and finish with dessert, which is, of course, chocolate fondue. <3 We had two appetizers (meaning two different kinds of cheese), salads, two different cooking broths with four separate platters of things to cook, and for dessert? Two types of chocolate mixes, and we went through FIVE PLATTERS of dessert items, and then extra pound cake, strawberries and bananas afterwards.
We paid with one credit card, since Ozzie mentioned that splitting the bill between six would just irritate the waiter, so we just handed the card over. But when we got it back? The sweetheart HAD separated the bill already and charged us for small chocolate fondues rather than the normal sizes we ordered. All in all, we all had a very enjoyable evening, especially Daughter, who this was done for. <3
After? We took the long way home and danced (in our seats) in the car on the way back.
And now?

08:07 pm - There are men who's hearts are as black as coal, yo ho he ho... Yea, I'm starting to feel that whole four hours of sleep thing right about now. @__@
So last night Sakki and I attended the Yoshida Brothers concert (Japanese guys who play the shamisen really hardcore), but we were out of there by nine-thirty or so. We made a food run for dinner (sushi, pizza and soda really ARE the best combination ever) and headed back to my place where we talked and watched various things until roughly three-thirty in the A.M.
I ended up having to kick Sakki out early (;__; Sorry!!!) and then I went to work for six hours. 8D; YAY
But dad had food cooked and ready to be consumed when I got home, and it was delicious. :3 <3

10:58 am - Hello, Interwebs... Seems like it's been a while...
First off--Anime Detour was awesome. We made a profit of like... seventy-five cents, BUT SHUT UP IT WAS GOOD OKAY?! I'd been planning on making a massive post about the general awesomeness and how much I got pissed off at one of my roomies, but the rage and general feeling of putting fourth effort has subsided, so ah well.
So. It's not a rumor or sadistic April Fools joke. Miles Edgeworth is getting his own game where he shall be gallivanting about with his trusty Gumshoe at his heels. AKJFBAKJBFAKJBDG OMG YES. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I HAVE NEVER WANTED A GAME THIS MUCH BEFORE EVER (and for those who know me, wanting a game badly at ALL is a pretty big deal) ...Zarla, how irritated are you right now? XD http://www.capcom.co.jp/kenji/
School's going good. I've got shoddy luck in the case that there is no more on-campus housing at Winona for the fall semester, but I'll get on a waiting list and try to find an apartment (if I get accepted) in the meantime.
I have a feeling I'm going to be like suspended from mah RPGs I've been neglecting them so badly. x_X; *sigh* I've just been.... avoiding the interwebs the last few weeks (or at least AIM) in favor of school work and other obligations... <<;; I should learn to give more notice of these things...

04:15 pm - wft Minnesota? It's SPRING... Yea, I think Mother Nature is full of hate. >_<; Snow = cold. It also = wet. You know what else snow means? Snow means that people are less likely to go outside. People not going outside means people stay inside. People inside means that, at Detour, 3000+ people will be inside. 3000+ people inside = heat. Heat = tendency to sweat. Tendency to sweat x con antendees, many whom forget to show anyways = DISGUSTING SMELLY SWEATY HALLWAYS ALL WEEKEND. DX God, I hope this snow melts.
Okay, good news? We again have 6 people for Detour, the ride situation is almost completely worked out and it's going to cost less than anticipated. The bad news? Still don't have all my merchandise done, registration situation is unsure for a few people, I am not packed and I am le sick. D:
Also? Even if I get accepted into Winona when I transfer after second semester, there is no on-campus housing available. Mother takes this to mean we should look into other colleges or that I should spend another year at Century. x__X; Both options are ICK, in my mind. *sigh* Current Location: Desk, room, home Current Mood: sick Current Music: "Only This Moment" ~ Royksopp

11:43 am - Happy Easter, everyone~! Hey all! Happy Easter to all of you, and to those of you who don't celebrate it... um... 8D; Happy...Unbirthday? Or Birthday. Whichever.
You know what's awesome? Getting home from work a little after midnight and having a (somewhat worried) mother waiting for you with a cup of tea and a slice of apple pie because you didn't make it to family dinner. It's the same kind of awesome as fathers who, when you have to work at 6am, get up and make you breakfast and a pot of coffee. D: Have I ever mentioned how completely awesome my parents are and how lucky I am to have them? <3
Easter has so far been good--good brunch, my fake red wine and maybe a movie in store for the afternoon. Sakki, if you see this, I'm sorry--I don't know if I'll be able to see you before you go today. If I don't, ilu and I'll talk to you soon! <3 Current Location: Aunt and Uncle's house Current Mood: cold Current Music: "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" ~ ??? (NOT JOSH GROBAN)

09:44 am - Mmm, Perkins at midnight... So I went to the Myth (a club) last night with some friends of mine and it was all-around a pretty good time. We were a little late because we were driving around looking for a place with an ATM that was open around ten at night, only to find that there was one AT the club for those who needed cash, so it worked out aiight. There were shiny lights and smoke and even though I hated almost every goddamn song it was fun times~
The only thing I wasn't too big on was the fact that, twice, guys came up behind me, grabbed my waist and started dancing with me. Now maybe I'm like, the biggest prude in the state of Minnesota, but I am Not Cool with that--C.C. saved me, thankfully, so it was all cool. Honestly, I swear I would dance with even the UGLIEST guy if he would just friggin take a second to ask "Wanna dance?" Also, when they do it I don't know if it means I'm hot or that they're just desperate for someone to dance with... Either way, yea--Not Cool.
Thanks again, Sakki, for letting me bum your driveway. ;_; I dun wanna leave my pretty Benji in the Myth parking lot. Just... no. Current Location: Desk, room, home Current Mood: awake

03:34 pm So I still have a little bit of catching up to do in terms of school and priorities relating to it, but I think I'm feeling better about it now. I had a week and a half with a quiz or test every single day, and a few projects due on those same days on top of it--a little stressful and leaving me feeling very overwhelmed. I didn't have class on Friday, so I vegged to the extreme and I feel a lot better now, especially after having spent a night at Sakki's eating ramen, drinking Sunkist Lemonade and watching anime. I have work tonight and early tomorrow morning, so I think I will utilize Sunday to get back on schedule so that I'm not OMGWTFBBQing the next time a week of straight tests comes by again, because I'm certain it will. I have Wednesday off as well, due to Student Success Day, so that'll be some good time to re-organize my brain as well. :3
I'm getting really excited for Anime Detour as of late. As stated last time, I am NO WHERE NEAR READY, but I still can't wait. I've been on the forums and looking at the promotional video for it on YouTube and I can't help but think how much fun it's going to be. Detour does wonders for me, actually--the fact that it's looming so close in the future prevents me from spending my money purposelessly, eating fairly well (I wanna look good~ :O), etc., etc.~
Spring Break is coming up~! 8D It's sad that mine doesn't coincide with Claire's (;_;) but it DOES line up with Sakki and Sovia's, so we'll get some good bonding-time in (as well as some last-minute project-work for Detour~ 83;; *totally isn't a slave-driver*) Mine's March 17th ~ 21st and it's going to be SWEET (hopefully).
So Sakki introduced me to the anime Zombie Loan and I have to say that it's friggin EXCELLENT. Seriously, aside from one or two SUPER MINOR bit characters, I love EVERYONE in that series and it makes me laugh, which I consider to be crucial in watching anime. Seriously, if a series can make me laugh every episode then I think it's a pretty good one. That said, I started a new Korean manga series called "Queens" which is also worth a read, if you get a chance to see it--it's about a boy who wants to find a way to be more manly, because he's a pretty boy and it's really working against him in multiple ways.
Ara ara, so much to do~ D: But it's cool--I think I can handle it if I just take a little time when I'm alone one day to organize myself. Definitely Sunday or Monday afternoon~ >8| *nod nod* Current Location: Desk, room, home Current Mood: contemplative Current Music: "Reason" ~ Fonogenico (XXXHolic ending)

08:20 am - le sigh So my priorities are no where near in order. I'm lucky that the one thing I'm doing right is doing my homework, but that's only just barely making it.
I'm pretty sure I'm effectively a mess. My living space is a mess, my work is a mess (I'm lucky I can FIND my homework), my social life is a semi mess... *sigh* Somewhere, I have the power to change myself, I know I do--but it's not as simple as saying "Do it!" and it'll happen. I'm trying to break the habits of nineteen year running and it's not getting any easier.
._. And on a random depressing note, I feel heavier. Not the girly 'omg I gained weight oh noez!' but the kind of 'I think I gained weight' that makes me feel uncomfortable and gross. I don't care if it doesn't make me "fat," it certainly doesn't make me look any BETTER. Current Music: "Everybody Ought to Have a Maid"~ A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

01:25 pm - What the hell was that? o-o So I'm thinking about apping the character Faust VIII on the three_crossings group and I wanted to hear what his voice sounded like, since I've only read the manga and never seen the anime.
Shaman King = WORST. DUBBING. EVER. (Thought I don't think it was much of an anime to start with.)
It's not just the voices suck, it's the fact that they changed ENTIRE SCENES WORTH OF DIALOGUE.
I mean, CHRIST. In the dub they have to fill in every single waking moment with really useless talking that doesn't stick to the original script at all and just sounds AWKWARD. Apparently people cannot have silence for more than five seconds OR OMG TEH WURLD WEEL EEEEEEEEEND. I mean, DAMN.
And what, do they think their viewers are completely retarded that they can't comprehend deeper subjects? Or that they can't deal with a few depressing subjects? AND WHAT THE HELL IS WITH CHANGING MANTA'S NAME TO MORTY?! ARRRRRRRRG!!!!!
/rant about dub
Oh, and Japanese animators? What's with making Faust of fucking PSYCHO?! I mean, I know he's insane but making him completely touchy? Faust is hopped up on MORPHINE ALL THE GOD DAMN TIME. He should be almost COMPLETELY mellow!! DX ARGGGG. Oh, and what the hell Japan? I thought you people were DOWN with putting violent shit into anime, so why is it that Faust's badassery was downplayed so much and he wasn't cutting Manta open?! asdhaklhf!!!!!!
/rant about the anime in general and how they fucked over Faust

11:17 pm - It sucks to be meeeeeee~~~ (only not really) SO
I saw Avenue Q this fine evening and MAN was it good! I was a little disappointed that they actually slowed the beat down for "Everyone's a Little But Racist" and "If You Were Gay" but I think that might have been so people could understand the lyrics more easily... The guy who played Princeton/Rob (and btw, I had NO IDEA it was like a seven-person show) was ESPECIALLY great and OH GOD THE PUPPET SEX IT WILL FOREVER BE BURNED INTO MY BRAIN DDDDDD8
So yea, EXCELLENT show. :3 I had no idea about the Bad Idea Bears so that was something new and the tickets were only $23 and we were on the main floor. We WERE in the last row, but when the lights went down and there were like... seriously, 20 completely empty rows in front of our section we were like "............ >>;;;; *ROWHOP KTHNX* " So we were nearly in the middle of the room on the main floor. 8D Awesome to the extreme~~~ Current Mood: ecstatic

04:19 pm I have come to the conclusion that three sleepovers in one week is NOT THE BEST OF IDEAS KTHNX. While I had a lovely time with Sakki and Claire and Sovia and the general tomfoolery that was to be had, OMG THE SUGAR AND THE NOT REAL FOOD *dies*
Yea, too much real soda, chips and Leanne Chin makes for a very sick feeling Katt. D: Katt does not approve of feeling sick, especially when it's not hung-over sick (for Katt does not drink) but just JUNK FOOD sick. DX IS NOT FAIR.
Anyhow. I think we're done for a little bit so my body is celebrating and demanding red meat and vegetables. -_o; Particularly the vegetables.
OOH OOH OOH GUESS WHAT! I GOTS MAH GRADES!! 8D It wasn't as GOOD as I'd hoped, but not as bad as I'd feared either--two B's and three A's, making for a 3.62 GPA. It's not the dean's list (which is a 2.75) but that's the goal for next semester!! And with this GPA as well as my 24 on the ACT I have fulfilled the requirements to transfer to Winona University! :D NOW TO BEGIN THE TRANSFER APPLICATION PROCESS OF DOOOOOOM~!! 05:20 pm - HELLO 2008 YOU SNUCK UP ON ME Happy New Year, everyone. :3
I haven't really made a resolution for the new year aside from "study more" but considering that I got a 3.62 for my first semester I'm feelin' aiight. My New Year's Eve was definately eventful, since I was at Sakki's house with Sovia there and we were acting like a bunch of 'tards. But good times, and cupcakes, were had. :3 Also, mixing Code Red Mountain Dew, Sparkling Grape Juice, Sparkling Norwegian Orange Juice and Sunkist Lemon soda is DELICIOUS--you should all try it sometime, k?
God, it's been so long since I updated this.... D:
My cousin is a retard. A HORRENDOUSLY MONUMENTAL retard. He's a week younger than me (so 19) and got his second DUI, AFTER he crashed his older bother's truck. I mean, what the FUCK, Richard? I knew you were a dumbass, but REALLY... *sigh* Alcohol in general annoys me. People who can't drink it responsibly just piss me off.
Next semester classes are registered for YAY. :D And almost all of my books are purchased for less than $200, so GLEE there. And tomorrow will be filled with the industrious sounds of Good Looking Products' members reunion of the winter break before Claire goes off to FRIGGIN COSTA RICA. D: LUCKY~ BRING ME BACK A ROCK OR SOMETHING CLAIRE, KAY?!
And NOW... to attempt to clean my room. And by clean my room I mean be on AIM while occasionally getting up to go straighten something. Current Location: Desk, room, home Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: "Lose Yourself" ~ Eminem

October 27th, 2007
03:56 pm Okay, so anyone who knows me really well should know that I am an enormous wuss when it comes to scary stuff, especially like movies or videogames. So yesterday I went to a horror movie marathon at Sovia's house which, while fun, may not have been one of my more intelligent decisions. x_x; We shall have to see how I feel about this once the sun goes down... Worst part is, they're not even REALLY scary movies, I just freak out easily. The ones I remember us watching were Evil Dead, The Grudge and the Ring (none of which I had seen before), so while I KNOW I'll be in a horror-mood, I know I'll be regretting that as well. I have an AMAZING tendency to let my imagination get away with me and I'm not entirely against the ideas of ghosts actually existing, so this makes for a very poor combination, evne if I don't live on haunted ground (I think... o_O ). Not to mention, the tree-rape from Evil Dead gave Sovia a little too much glee and now I can't look at trees the same way anymore... AND BY GOD THEY'RE EVERYWHERE D8!!
In other news, I am currently looking for a slightly faster version of "Putting On The Ritz," so if anyone can make a suggestion or hook me up with that, I'd really appreciate it.
